U.S. Air Force Academy
The Air Force Academy is both a military organization and a university. Much of the Academy is set up like most other Air Force bases, particularly the 10th Air Base Wing, but the superintendent, commandant, dean of faculty and cadet wing are set up in a manner resembling a civilian university.
Banning Lewis Ranch
Banning Lewis Ranch is one of the newest communities to spring up in Colorado Springs. Located east of the Powers Corridor, this neighborhood is close to the Colorado Springs airport and several of the local military bases.
Black Forest is an unincorporated region in El Paso County, just north of Colorado Springs. It was named for the high density of Ponderosa Pines and includes about 200,000 acres of a larger area known as the “Pineries.” Black Forest has a rural feel and many parks.
Old Colorado City
Tucked into the petticoats of Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs has been the quintessential tourist town since the 1870s, when visitors discovered the healing waters the Ute Indians had been drinking for years. Many of the town's mineral springs still function today and the water is free.
It’s often been said that Security-Widefield has a rural, small town flavor with big city convenience. It has no municipal government, but it has utilities, fire department, library, community center, shopping centers, ballfields, great schools and parks.
Upscale and expanding, Northgate is near the US Air Force Academy, which has military exhibits, hiking trails, and the spiked-roof Cadet Chapel. Green spaces include Mary Kyer Park, with sports fields, and peaceful Frog's Leap Park. The Western Museum of Mining & Industry recounts gold rush history and hosts a twice-weekly farmers' market in warmer months. The area is also home to brewpubs and international eateries.
Gleneagle is a popular community within Northgate Colorado Springs. Gleneagle is bordered on the north side by Baptist Road, to the west by Struthers and to the south by Northgate Blvd and Sun Hills Drive. This neighborhood has easy access to I25 and convenient shopping at the Bass Pro Center and the retail center on Voyager.
Flying Horse is a beautiful community within Northgate Colorado Springs. The Flying Horse Club and Flying Horse Golf Course are legendary. Residents of Flying Horse can take advantage of the private resort-style athletic club and spa, relaxing pools, tennis facility, an 18-hole Tom Weiskopf golf course, and a Euro-style clubhouse experience.
Pine Creek Colorado Springs is a very popular neighborhood in Briargate with an active HOA association. The Pine Creek community covers 900-acres and has golf course and open space amenities. Pine Creek was one of the first communities in Colorado Springs to require builders to design and build their new homes in accordance with strict design guidelines.
Cordera is one of the newer developed areas in Briargate that has a great range of new homes for sale. Cordera homes for sale in Briargate area are in a new larger planned community with a beautiful Community Center with an outdoor pool. Cordera markets itself as a very family focused neighborhood.
Wolf Ranch Colorado Springs is a popular planned community in Briargate. Homes are surrounded by trails, parks, and open space. With more than 300 acres of open space and over 10 miles of trails, Wolf Ranch is designed to bring people out of their homes to share the great outdoors.
Briargate is a master planned community located in the northern part of the city. This is one of the most popular areas in the region for a wide range of reasons. People live in Briargate because it’s extremely convenient. Additionally, there is a strong sense of community in this area.
Peregrine is a neighborhood in the northwest part of Colorado Springs which is known for its spectacular views. This area offers a convenient commute north as well as some nice views facing east. People live in this area primarily because of its natural beauty.
Rockrimmon is a popular area in Colorado Springs located on the west side of I-25 nestled in the foothills. This area is situated in the foothills of the Rampart Range and features dramatic topography, abundant wildlife and panoramic views out over the eastern plains.
The Central/Downtown Colorado Springs Neighborhood is a truly unique environment. This area features a wide range of housing options, from grand Victorian mansions to small Spanish-style bungalows and everything in between.
The Broadmoor area of Southwest Colorado Springs initially grew outward from the world-famous Broadmoor Hotel. Popular amenities of this area include Cheyenne Canyon hiking trails, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Will Rogers Shrine and the Bear Creek Nature Center and Park.

Peterson Air Force Base is a base located at Colorado Springs in El Paso County. It provides runways for the adjacent City of Colorado Springs Municipal Airport under a shared joint civil-military airport arrangement. Air Force Space Command, created Sept. 1, 1982, is a major command headquartered at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.
Colorado College is a highly rated private college located in Colorado Springs. It is a small institution with an enrollment of 2,091 undergraduate students. Admissions is competitive with an acceptance rate of 15%. The college utilizes a block plan-based academic calendar.

Built by the citizens of El Paso County in 1982 to serve as a regional entertainment and cultural center, the Pikes Peak Center’s downtown Colorado Springs location was planned as a part of the economic revitalization strategy for the downtown business district. The Broadmoor World Arena offers a world-class experience in the premier sports and entertainment venue in the Pikes Peak region. The 7,343 fixed seat multi-purpose arena plays host to a diverse variety of specialty family shows, concerts, comedy and sporting events.

Ute Valley Park
Ute Valley Park is a popular destination for hiking, mountain biking, dog walking, and running. The park offers vistas, geological features and destination-level trails, all readily accessible to outdoor enthusiasts in surrounding neighborhoods and the city.
The Manitou Incline is one of the most popular hiking trails in Colorado. A former cablecar track, it gains over 2,000 feet of elevation in less than one mile. The base of the Incline is located in Manitou Springs near the base of the Barr Trail and across the street from the Cog Railroad.
